Sunday Brunch at Moss Beach Distillery
Please join the Rossmoor Wine and Food Society on February 22, 2015, at the Moss Beach Distillery tucked away in the cozy town of Moss Beach. Learn about the haunting legend of the Blue Lady in the restaurant, which was a former speakeasy. Enjoy the spectacular views of the California coastline and a brunch featuring California Cuisine, a bottomless mimosa and champagne, and red and white wine with our entrees.
We will begin our meal with a selection of fresh baked pastries, coffee, tea, fresh orange juice and a choice of four entrees. You may select your entrée from Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak, an 8 oz. Skirt Steak served with Blue Cheese Sauce, Artichoke Pecorino, Scrambled Eggs, Homestyle Potatoes and Seasonal Fruit; Smoked Salmon Benedict, a toasted English Muffin covered with Dill Cream Cheese, Shaved Red Onion, Smoked Salmon, two Poached Eggs, Hollandaise Sauce, Crispy Capers, Homestyle Potatoes and Seasonal Fruit; Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Ravioli stuffed with Wild Mushrooms, Ricotta and Parmesan Cheeses, served in a Tomato Cream Sauce, finished with a sprinkling of Toasted Pine Nuts and served with Seasonal Fruit; or a Prawn Louie, featuring Grilled Prawns and Louie Dressing, served atop leaves of Crispy Romaine Lettuce, accompanied by slices of Avocado, Cucumber, Tomatoes and Hard Boiled Egg. In addition to the Mimosas and Champagne, to accompany the meal, your wine choices will be a Trinity Oaks Pinot Grigio, from Napa, which has aromas of citrus and melon with a crisp, clean finish and a Dry Creek ‘Heritage’ Zinfandel from Sonoma County, which is beautifully balanced with notes of spice and blackberry on the palate. To top off our culinary experience for this day, you will have a choice of two desserts; Distillery Decadence, a Warm Brownie served with Vanilla Ice Cream, hot fudge and whipped cream or Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake, a homemade Cheesecake with Graham Cracker Crust, Grand Marnier-Citrus Sauce and whipped cream.
