2022 Holiday Dinner
at Fireside
Please join the Rossmoor Wine and Food Society on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. for a wonderful holiday dinner catered by Classic Catering. The dinner will begin with a Sparkling Poinsettia Cocktail of cranberry/raspberry juice and sparkling wine served in a sugar rimmed glass. We will also be serving a Cochon Pape Rocks Blanc, a Viognier from Sonoma County, a medium bodied white wine with rounded mouth feel and bright, fresh fruit combined with crushed stone on the finish. Also served will be an Opolo Grand Rouge Rhone style red blend from Paso Robles that is light bodied and fruit forward with a delicate frame of wild herb and spice. These wines will be served throughout dinner.
Appetizers:
Canard a’l’ Orange, Crab Cioppino Shooter and Honey Crystal Almonds
1st course:
Chicory, Bacon and Poached Egg Salad with Radicchio, Escarole and Frisée, served with warm dinner rolls
Entree:
Fennel and Rosemary Beef Tenderloin with Shiitake Mushroom Demi Glaze Sauce
Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Chives
Green Beans with Carrot Ribbons.
Sweet ending:
Gingerbread Roll with Sugar Cranberry and Rosemary Sprigs
Madeira wine will be served with dessert. It is a fortified wine from the island of Madeira, Portugal off the coast of Africa.
It’s made from various white and red varietals and fortified by adding Brandy.
The cost for this dining experience is $85 for members and $95 for guests.

Please make your reservations early and note that all reservations must be received no later than November 25, 2022.
No refunds can be given after that date since all monies must be paid to the caterer at that time.
After the doors open, seating is on a first come, first served basis. We regret that we cannot accept individual seating requests.
